Learning Objectives: Week of 3/22

It has been a great week! I’m so happy we are getting back to normalcy! Thank you for helping your child come to school everyday prepared with: Ipad/headphones, and Take Home Folders! I hope you have a great weekend! 

Next Week's Learning Objectives: 
*Math: finish Chapter 13 Customary Measurement of Length
*During Language Arts, we will research women who have made a difference in our world. Students will pick a woman they will research to learn more about and then complete a biography on their woman. Then students will have an opportunity to present to the class their biography! *IPADS will be used for research!
*Writing: Poetry
*Social Studies: Woman History Week

Reminders
*Homework will begin next week. Parents are asked to initial each evening upon completion on homework sheet provided :)
*Today students are coming home with a plastic egg and information for a fun egg activity. These are due next Wednesday 3/24.
*Next week: Wednesday is a half day; no school Thursday and Friday due to virtual parent teacher conferences.
*Please send back math book, reading book, and place ten blocks at your earliest convenience, if haven’t done so already.
*If you want to order Scholastic Books in March they are due the 26th. Please see previous Seesaw message for ordering information.

Learning Objectives: Week of 3/15

I will see you all on Thursday at NPE! I hope you have a great start to your week at home! I will send student work lists in Seesaw Monday-Wednesday mornings!

Next Week's Learning Objectives: 
*Math: Chapter 13 Customary Measurement of Length
*Spelling: Syllable Pattern words (we can break long words into smaller parts/syllables to read them easier)
*Conventions: Adverbs that Tell When and Where (adverbs help adjectives)
*Reading: building reading stamina/Plot and Theme
*Social Studies: Spring

Reminders
*Please don't forget ALL of the following is needed at NPE: your GREEN math folder, PURPLE language arts folder, BLUE writing folder, TAKE HOME folder, water bottle, snack, CHARGED ipad and headphones. 
*Please return the following at your earliest convenience: math book, reading book, and place value/base 10 blocks!
*I will place March Scholastic orders for those interested on March 26.
*Please continue to check your child's Seesaw journal to verify all assigned work has been completed.

Learning Objectives: Week of 3/8

Ray is our MVP this week! His poster will be hung in our room and his MVP slide will be on our blog soon! Tomorrow signups for our next virtual conference will become available so please be on the lookout for Mr. Heinle’s eblast tomorrow afternoon! Also, please check that all materials needed at NPE (listed below) are in backpacks :)

*Math: Chapter 7 Metric Measurement of Length

*Spelling: Diphthongs ou,ow,oi,oy words  

*Conventions: Comparative and Superlative Adjectives 

*Reading: building reading stamina/Fact and Opinion

*Writing: Poetry

*Social Studies: St. Patrick’s Day/Pi Day

*Science: States of Matter

*Cohort A: Please don't forget your GREEN math folder, PURPLE language arts folder, BLUE writing folder, TAKE HOME folder, water bottle, snack, CHARGED ipad and headphones. 

*Cohort B: Please see our hybrid schedule for our 3 ZOOM times on Monday and Tuesday. 

*If students are home on days they are typically at NPE, please have them ZOOM if possible so they can still be counted present. I will share Asynchronous work so it can be completed.
